SUMMARY
A campaign to get kids exercising before school and learning more in class.


IT’S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS
An inactive life and poor eating can have an effect on kids' performance in the classroom. It can also form bad habits later in life. Studies show that exercise before school translates to better academic performance during the day when compared to inactive peers.
Our task was to propel this campaign into the mainstream.


MORE THAN A SITE, IT’S A MOVEMENT
Briefed to create a site, we saw a chance to make a bigger statement. An opportunity to create a call for change.
We challenged people to 'Fly the flag for Boks’ and spread the cause across their social channels. This bigger thought helped to kick-start the movement and raise awareness across the US. Just like the kids, all it needed was a nudge in the right direction.


DELIGHTFUL INTERACTION
The science behind BOKS was amazing, but it’s delivery was dry. It needed to be illustrated with a more playful approach to get people excited.
Moments of delight were created wherever possible - rollovers, animations, neat little bits of interaction - all designed to surprise the user.






BE BOLD
The art direction needed to appeal to digitally-savvy kids and the adults who would be making Boks happen. I created a bold, unmistakeable style full of character, bespoke illustration, typography and texture.
The colour palette isn’t for the faint of heart, but hey, a statement needed to be made.




THE EFFECT
Almost 2000 schools are now enrolled across 48 US states. And Boks is now International; helping kids in six countries across the globe. Made whilst at Dare.
Brain and body well and truly boosted.
